| Superintendent's Message; |
I am beginning the most exciting journey of my professional career. It is an honor to be Superintendent of Henry County Public Schools. As I spend time getting to know the staff, students, programs, and community, I will be looking for areas of strength as well as areas to build upon. There will continue to be a strong instructional focus as we seek ways to increase the rigor and expectations for all students. Henry County Public Schools has a strong tradition of rigor and excellence and is recognized across the Commonwealth for its focus on the success of all students.
This year the division will focus on improving internal and external communication; meeting or exceeding federal, state and local performance expectations; increasing the number of students scoring pass advanced on state assessments; effective operational efficiency to ensure that we maximize every dollar invested in providing quality instructional programming for our students.
I want to thank the school board for placing their trust in me as your new leader. As we continue focusing on education as a community event, I want to encourage all stakeholders to commit to supporting the mission of the school division. As your Superintendent, I look forward to working to bring us all together in the interest of our most precious commodity… children. I believe that together we will achieve great things.
